Tuition fees: Polish-language programs at public universities are free for EU citizens. English-taught programs: EUR 2,000-6,000/year. Medical programs: EUR 10,000-14,000/year.

Proof of funds: You must show approximately PLN 7,000 (approx. EUR 1,600) for the first three months plus tuition to obtain your student visa.

Visa Process

  1. Get accepted to a Polish university and receive your admission letter
  2. Pay your first tuition instalment or obtain a scholarship confirmation
  3. Get health insurance (Polish National Health Fund or private insurance)
  4. Find accommodation and obtain a confirmation letter from your university or landlord
  5. Book a visa appointment at the Polish consulate in your country
  6. Attend the interview with admission letter, proof of funds, insurance, accommodation confirmation, and passport
  7. Processing time: 2-4 weeks (apply at least 6 weeks before your program starts)
  8. Arrive in Poland and apply for a Temporary Residence Permit within 45 days

Post-Study Work Permit

After graduation, you can apply for a temporary residence permit to look for work in Poland (up to 9 months). If you find employment, your employer can sponsor a work permit.
